Amanda Oaks is a multi-passionate creative dedicated to fostering community through the arts. She serves as a Graphic Designer & Marketing Coordinator in the travel industry & manages a small business in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. From 2003 to 2018, Amanda operated Words Dance Publishing, a small poetry press & literary magazine. During that period, she took particular pride in highlighting the often ignored voices of young women. Over the last twenty years, Amanda has authored several poetry collections, & her works have been featured in various literary magazines. She is the Co-Creator & Marketing Manager of Poeming Through the Dark, a spoken word event cultivating connection & community through the power of poetry & self-expression. A mom to two teenage sons & partner to her love, Amos, she seeks joy in all facets of her life but loves laughing with her loved ones most of all.
